Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
Anybody else yet received the stadium seating rearrangement brochure from the athletic department yet?? Looks like donors in my section (13) at football games will have to pony up another $150 to $200 per year to keep their seat(s). I realize that we need to increase ticket prices to keep up with our competitors, but how much more can season ticket holders be fronted with the "we need more money" push?? I knew this would come one day, but only ONE year after the exponential ticket price increase?!

It might be good thing for the department though, this means many people probably did donate much more money and therefore you need to "keep up" to keep your seats. I think its fair that the more you pay the better your seats will be. While I totally appreciate the donors of yesteryear, the money you put in previously can only leverage you so much. If you want good seats, pay for them now.

Re: Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
I currently sit in a section that is 2 NCC clubs below my level of giving, and I have not been given any commitment from ISU that I can move up due to low turnover in the higher giving sections.
We have been told by Mike Mores that "most" people are currently in sections that are at least one level below their current club membership.
The only way to rectify this is to reseat the entire stadium. Ah the price of increasing donations and ticket sales

I don't have a problem with it, and I'm a pretty small fish. You get what you pay for, I don't think it should matter if it's football, basketball, or Lakers tickets. The best seats should go to the people who donate the most. Bring on the hate now.

I too will be sitting in a section below my giving level, not because I tried to move and was denied, but we have a large group of friends that all sit together. My point was they're going to alienate a lot of people who just forked over hard earned cash for, let's face it folks, what looks to be a pretty mediocre football team next fall, and if we don't show SOME kind of improvement (I don't know how we get any worse), I can just see all the ******** coming down the road when at this point NEXT year we'll all be having to pay higher donations... plus who knows, football tickets may increase again.

Ah the price of increasing donations and ticket sales I support the reseating, or at least declaring certain sections at certain levels and making people pony up for them. I currently sit in a non donor section as a cardinal member. I would probably go gold if there were any benefit at all, but as there is no benefit, I cannot justify it, and thus ISU will lose out on $500 at year from me and $500 more from a friend who sits right next to me.

Re: Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
My question about the information is what happened to the "gold plus" NCC designation? That is what I am ($1500+) and in the brochure it goes straight from gold to captains with no gold plus shown in between?? Are they ditching the gold plus designation?

I think the brochure they mailed out shows that we spent way too little for bad football last year!

Re: Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
In football, I am sitting in a section one level below what I donate, Gold section but I donate $1500 Gold +, which is eliminated now. Where do I get equity for the 15 yrs I have been nice enough to wait my turn to get to the level of seating for which I donate? In basketball, I will be ok at midcourt Balcony, until they put in the new suites, which appear to cut into the balconey up thru row 5.. I saw once the plans for the suites, but now no one knows anything about what I saw online, and nobody will talk about the future plans for suites.

Re: Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
I am also in the gold plus which seems to get eliminated for next year. unlike most of you my current seats are in the gold plus seating areas until next year i will have to jump up to the $2500 donation to keep my current seats. My wife and i talked about this last night. because we split the donation with another couple it would be another $500. I would be willing to pay that if the coaching staff shows improvement and corn prices stay up.

Will probably up to $2500 if the team and coaching staff look like there is improvement and hope for the future.

Re: Hilton / Jack Trice Reseating
Gold+ people should be fine. They still base things on giving within the level and all-time giving so gold+ people wil still be ahead of the curve or at the top of the gold group if they are getting rid of gold+.

No matter what I plan on giving now and in the future, I think I will always choose to stand in the student section.

You'll grow out of that phase vanilla, believe me.
