I see the volleyball is added to the Hy-Vee CYHAWK series. If the match was played in ames, I'd probably think about going. For im a represenative of hy-vee, and my hometown was runner ups in 3-a volleyball last year.

I'm glad they added volleyball to the series. I can't imagine why it wasn't in there to begin with. Both schools have volleyball teams that, if not amazing, are at least a lot of fun to watch. (But they both did quite well last season, ISU especially.) Volleyball is a HUGE high school sport in Iowa, too. Yet another reason to get it out in the open. I highly recommend going to a few of the Cyclones' home v-ball matches and watching this fall. Really, really, really cheap entertainment, and it's quite a bit of fun.

Well the reason it wasent on there was because we have only played Iowa in V-ball 2 times in the past 10 years. I hope this means we consistently have a match every year.

Whats funny is the Cy-Hawk now has 21 points....and only 7 of them come from mens sports, and 14 come from womens sports. Im not trying to start a gender war here, but its just a fact that I guess I never relized.

I am bloody well behind this...anything involving sweaty amazonian women battling each other is high on the 'must see" list for me.

they deserve our full support

It will always be that way. With Title IX there will always be more women's sports.

Mostly because of the number of scholarships for football.
