K-State NCAA Birth 2007

You know K-State didn't make the cut this year for the NCAA tourney yet finished 4th or 5th in the Big 12. They were a bubble team with their record, but I can't help but wonder if the Tourney Committe were more critical with K-State because of Bob Huggins stretching of rules.

It's been well documented how he did a lot of recruiting things when he was jobless that wouldn't have been allowed if he was coaching. That's part of the reason he got that stud class coming to K-State. The way I read it he pushed a freight train through a loop hole in the NCAA rules on this matter.

I know if I was ****** at Huggins and was on the committee, I wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt on getting in the Tourney. What do you all think?

Who knows.

I would love to see K-State make the tournament in '08 though. Lets say, as an 8 seed. The team I want them to face? West Virginia of course!

Those "We love you Huggins!" signs and talk the KSU faithful had been promoting earlier this week...yeah...I doubt we'd see any of those around.

If KSU can't hang on to a few of their recruits, they are in a lot of trouble down the line.

While I don't really have an opinion about Huggins and what he did/didn't do in recruiting, since I don't know whatever it is he did, I'd like to think that the NCAA Selection Committee has better objectivity than that.

KSU was selling their soul to take on Huggins. He left before they got their glory and accompanying NCAA suspensions. Let's hope they spend their refunded soul more wisely this time. Get a guy who will build a program, not steal one.
