Why is Kirk Ferentz smiling?
On the heels of a disappointing 6-7 season, there figured to be plenty of talk this spring about the Iowa football program, but thanks to a coaching change over at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Kirk Ferentz has to be a pretty happy head coach right now. In fact, he has probably been smiling a lot the last couple of weeks as the focus of Iowa fans everywhere was on the search and not the football team.
Not sure I could have done a better job of making him sound like an overpaid, overhyped underachiever. Hilarious.

I think he's also smiling because I don't think they have to play Ohio State and Michigan next year. Could be another BCS bowl in the god awful top heavy conference.
