'07 Co-Captains

Have the captains been selected yet? If so who are they? If not, when will they be?

Guessing Meyer,Blythe,Bowen, and Berg ????

Sounds like, from what I've heard, that they're going to vote for captains for each separate game this year.

Re: '07 Co-Captains

i like that method, gives everyone a chance to be a captain

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Berg??? Why him?

Maybe he has some leadership qualitites, but he could be a scholarship player at UNI maybe. He should not really be on the field a lot for a big 12 team. I am hoping ISU has some stronger and faster safeties than last season.

Berg is weird. He is a practice hero. In practice he's our best safety but last year he was bad. Really Bad.

Chizik said they will wait until fall to select captains.

Some People see things as they are and say why? I dream things that never were and say why not? When I took this job I said why not Iowa State? Why not winning? Why not bowl games? Why not sell outs? Why not national respect? Why not us? Why not here? Why not the cyclone family?

Berg is weird.
Is that the only way that he's weird? Or is he weird like the Princess from Drawn Together with the octopus vagina?

All work and no play makes me a dull boy.

That's great and all for when you're playing in high school or something but when you're in college I would think you want it to be actual leaders and your best players. No just give it out to anybody or somebody that's been warming the bench for their whole college career.

even in college it is good, you will still have leaders, just because they dont have a C on their chest does not make them any less of a leader, if it requires u getting a C on your chest to show that u are a leader, then u are not actually a leader,

what this does tho, is make everyone want to be a leader a little bit more

I have yet to read anything stating new captains would be selected each week.

I believe in the above, establish team leaders for the entire year and name them captains.

Re: '07 Co-Captains

ok i started thinking, if they do somthing like this i think it will be more like 1 Off 1 Def pernament captains, and then 1 O 1 D elected captain for each game..

You beat me to it, that's the only idea I like short of all permanent captains.

This is the sarcasm pirate. If you see him anywhere in my post, it means I was being sarcastic. Thank you. Actually there's a good chance I'm being sarcastic even if I forgot the pirate. I'm not to be taken too seriously.
