Okay someone with more time on their hands please get into the statistics and figure out who had the most Hilton success over the years, on average. Let's say a minimum of 3 games in Hilton or is that too tough? 2 games?

I would say the best college player to play in Hilton was Danny Manning...he was a tremendous college player at KU and carried his team on his shoulders to a National Championship. The best part was that we kicked KU's *** every time KU and Manning played in Hilton.
But the tone of this thread seems to be who had the most success against ISU in Hilton...anyone remember a guy named Norris Coleman from KSU? I believe he was a 28 year old Army veteran that KSU signed from a JUCO. He came in and lit us up one time back in the mid 80s as I recall.
Looks like Coleman did us in three times... twice with KSU and again at Loyola-Chicago.
Pts Player, University FG FT Date
32 Norris Coleman, Kansas State 13 6 Jan. 15, 1986
30 Norris Coleman, Kansas State 13 4 Feb. 15, 1986
34 Norris Coleman, Loyola-Chicago 12 10 Feb. 7, 1987
I vote for Peeler, I remeber he put up 40 or something on us one night, but seemed to always play well in Ames.
Three I recall at Hilton were Peeler's 40, Ryan Minor from Oklahoma absolutely lit us up one year, and Swartzendruber (sp?) from K-State had a career game against us.
My vote: Wayman Tisdale.
Kareem Rush? Mizzou
most the times might have been at Mizzou... but i still remember wishing him away...
i know this isnt a "big time" player..but it is one that i remember
I agree with many already mentioned, but one I'll add is Chauncey Billups from CU, he always seemed to kill us.
Did I mention that Peeler was 20-20 from the freakin' line??
Where's the home cooking??
My first thought before reading any of the thread replies was Wayman Tisdale. Then I thought - heck that whole decade from the mid 70s to mid 80s featured many tough players from OU (or should I say the Oklahoma University of Advanced Community College Athletic Studies) : Harvey Grant, Mookie Blaylock, Daryl Kennedy, Stacy King and ALVAN ADAMS!
Adams had 2 games in Hilton where he averaged 34 points! He also scored 43 pts and had 25 reb against us in the Big 8 tourney.
King was also an animal & had 2 games (both in Hilton??) where he averaged over 34 points and, in one of those games had 21 Reb.
I'll admit that Manning was tough - but he was MUCH tougher AT Phog Allen. Even in his decent games at Hilton, we shut his team up by pinning the big 'L' on him every year!
I vote for Tisdale too. He had some incredible cames for the sooners against us. I remember one game or was it more than one. Where he single handedly got about 4 of our guys in foul trouble. No one could stop him, even foully didn't work. Wayman was incredible against us and "only" outstanding against everyone else.
I was going to put Tyronn's name into the mix earlier but didn't. I was there at his final game he played at Hilton when we got waxed and he was doing trick dribbles and such. I don't think he was the best ever to play against us but he was in the top 10 or 15 probably.
I remember Norris Coleman at KSU, but my vote is for Wayman Tisdale, he was an incredible college player.
