So, are the new pants Gold or Yellow???

I took gold to mean gold, but lots of what I read here is gold = yellow??

Yella. Not quite sure why they said they wanted to go with our true colors when our true colors are Cardinal and Gold. Right now it's going to be red and yellow.

At one time someone posted information on the true shades of our school colors. There are actual color patches somewhere that show them. Is anyone able to find that?

In my mind, whatever those "true" school colors are is what we should be using...period...no brainer.

Gold to me is like Notre Dame, Boston College, FSU GOLD. Not a "burnt yellow"

IMO Boston College's uniforms are a good model for what ours should look like. I think BC's school colors are the same or very similar to what ours are reported to be.

The pants that Chizik had in the press conference that I watched online looked like shiny dark yellow to me, but that could be my monitor. "Yuck" was kind of the first thing that came into my mind as well. I guess I'll forego judgement until I see the actual uniform.

I really, really, really don't like yellow pants. In fact, I actually liked what we've had the last two or three years just fine.

I was hoping in that video that they would hold up the new pants with the white jersey on the other side of the table, but they never did. From what I could tell though, it looked like they'd go well together. I have no idea how it will look with the red though.

In my opinion, wether it's gold or yellowish is not as important as changing the red back to cardinal. A true cardinal will look nice with either and it wont give the Ronald McDonald look everyone fears.

These are the school colors as linked above. I don't care whether you say you like them or not. This is what our uniforms should reflect as well as ISU apparel. By trying to change the "gold" to more a of a Notre Dame gold you are no better than those that brought blue into the logo/uniforms in the past.

PLEASE use these colors and these colors alone in your designs.
