I just want to say that I really appreciate fellow members’ reports on things such as spring practices. For those of us no longer living in Iowa it is a great opportunity to get a feel for how things are going in Ames. Therefore I hope that a couple of CF peeps can post write-ups of their findings in the spring game.
These write-ups are also beneficial because it’s great to get input on how the team is doing from a variety of members, moderators and of course Jeremy. I would much rather read a couple of spring game posts from CF fans who are passionate about the game instead of some other fan website where I might have to kick out some change to get another amateur perspective.
So thanks in advance from those of us who can’t get back to Ames, to any of you fans out there who want to share your findings on the Spring game.
No doubt. As much as I want to drop everything & fly 2000 miles to evaluate the new look offense & coaching staff, it's not happening. Maybe five years from now, when I'm firmly established as a trophy husband and my wife pulls in millions each year...
I'm only three hours away, but with unbelievable medical expenses for my wife (a cancer survivor) - that three hours might as well be across the ocean. I've tried to follow the free news at CN and CR, but it wasn't till I found CF that the info truly did "flow free."

I wasn't sure that I wanted to put the blurb about "free" in my post because I know we aren't supposed to talk about other sites. But more than that I wanted to stress the fact that if we get a couple of opinions and write-ups its better for all to compare and contrast. I think one of the strenghs of CF is the number of dedicated indivuals involved.

This is a GREAT site (especially since I don't have to deal with 'denny from clear lake' anymore). I had really gotten frustrated with CR and, thanks to a friend here in NW Arkansas, found my way to CF. I check it a minimum of 3 times a day. Not only that, there are some seriously funny people on here!
Kudos to your wife for being a 'survivor'. Been down that road so I know exactly where she's coming from. Been 'clean' for a VERY long time now and I wish her all the same. Tell you one thing, it will totally change your perspective on life. You'll tend to notice some small yet amazing things in everyday life that many others will only take for granted.
