I heard this from a friend of mine who knows one of the owners of the team.
The team name is going to be the Qwest Bulls. Yes, they sold the naming rights of the team.
And yes, the team will be a Bulls affiliate.

Interesting, I don't like how Des Moines or Iowa is not in the name. The Bulls would be a logical affiliate though.

I know it is all about the Benjamin's, but come on. If you want your product to be seen as a high level (which it has been advertised to be) it just seems to cheapen the whole thing with a corporate sponsorship in the name.
Especially Qwest, which in my experience knows nothing about the words excellence or customer service!

When did the NBADL turn into a soccer league? Why not call them Real Des Monies?
However, the Iowa Red Bulls would be a little easier to swallow.

Heck, Clark TX even sold the name of their town to Dish Network (now Dish TX) to get every resident "free" satellite service for the next 10 years!
