Attitude adjustment needed!

As Clone fans we are anything but fanatics. I don't want us to become like Hawk fans, who think it's their God given right to be number 1 in everything. But we do need to develop a more positive attitude. Look at the posts on the spring game and it appears that the most fans are expecting failure. The same is true in MBB. During and right after the season fans were screaming for the heads of Cory and Ross. But now their gone and most are crying that next years team will be terrible because we've lost their experience. The point is if we're going to have winning teams we need winning and not whining fans. Have faith that our coaches know what their doing and that the players are working to be their best, for themselves and the fans.

Re: Attitude adjustment needed!

I don't think there is anyone that thinks we will be any worse in either of the major sports (football and basketball). Sure, we lost a couple of unexpected basketball athletes, but we have a lot of potential (5 star recruit, #1 recruits in WI and IA) coming in. There are only a few people that express drastically negative views for next year and they are few and far between. It's hard to see our football team being any worse than last year, thus it's hard to say we won't see improvement this year.

I don't see too many whiners.

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

I-S-U!

Re: Attitude adjustment needed!

CyRocket...reading your post really put things into perspective for me. I was just on my way outside to take care of an alpaca. And by "take care of" I mean kill. Sorry to be blunt about it, but that's my burden. Anyway, your post made me think about some things, and because of that an alpaca's life was saved. Not because I'm not going to still take care of him, but because thinking about how crazy and weird your post was, gave the alpaca time to chew out of his ropes and make a break for the woods to hide. No worries though, I know those woods like the back of my hand. There will be blood tonite!

Re: Attitude adjustment needed!

I think we'll be better in both football and basketball, how much better is the question and if we can transfer that to wins.

hfthomp- funny post. In regards to your sig line, I don't think Casey Kasem is dead, unless I am misunderstanding the 1932-2005....

Oh... people will come Mr. Pollard. People will most definitely come.

No, I don't live in Seattle anymore, I'm back in Des Moines but I don't feel like changing my username.

Re: Attitude adjustment needed!

BIG difference in being pessimistic about next year saying how we don't have a chance and such than actually thinking it could just be a mediocre rebuilding year. You seem to confuse the fact that some people generally feel what they say. Just because I think our football team will struggle to be 500, I'm going to EVERY game screaming my butt off for them. If that ain't positive, then what is.

Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Didn't you read my post or listen to anything CyRocket told you? With that attitude we're only gonna win 4 or 5 games. But if you get an "attitude adjustment" we could be looking at 7, 8 or even 9 wins. If we could just change 30% of the Cyclone fan base attitudes, I think a BCS bowl is in line.

Sorry, this post just really bugged me
