Iowa State 12th at Prairie Dunes
HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Iowa State men's golf team proved to be consistent, firing two rounds of 311 on the first day at the Big 12 Championship at Prairie Dunes Golf Course hosted by the University of Kansas. The Cyclones received a strong individual effort from Chris Baker but find themselves trailing the field, sitting in 12th place. The nationally ranked individuals in the conference shined as seven rated competitors occupy the top 10 positions in the race for coveted medalist honors. Texas Tech All-American Oscar Floren finished the second round as the leader, standing at 1-under par on the day. No. 6 Oklahoma State battled back from a five stroke first-round deficit to overtake 12th-ranked Texas A&M for the team lead.
