For not having to brag or boast about his abilities he sure isn't afraid to point out that he is a stud. haha. Hopefully he can back up his talk on the field.

Re: J.J. Bass facebook update

I can't decide if Troy Davis's line was as bad as our lineman are going to be this year. Hopefully, they can at least do an average job and give us a chance to win week in and week out. Wouldn't be surprised if true freshman like Kelechi Osemele end up starting by the time the season is over.

He can talk the talk, this fall lets see him walk the walk. Not being cold hearted, I want to see what he can do

I agree, part of me is just waiting for him to not live up to his own hype. I guess it comes with the cynicism of being an ISU fan.

I do like his last line, though. "BELIEVE IN US". Us. Not "me". Hopefully he gives this team a hefty injection of swagger.

Deep within the heart of Iowa, a storm is brewing...
... the winds of change ripple throughout the vast fields of corn surrounding the small college town of Ames.

The Gene Chizik era of football continues, and, with it, a renewed attitude of pride, determination, and success.

This is Cyclone Football.

From what I remember, the line we had with Troy was actually pretty good. Same with the ones with Darren and Ennis. It seems they kinda lost their swagger after guys like Vander Sanden and Stubbe left.

Re: J.J. Bass facebook update

Troy's line was terrible in both of his 2000 yard seasons he probably had 1999 yards after first contact and he was being hit 4 yards in the backfield. Darren and Ennis had better lines and we will just have to see about this one maybe they will suprise us all

Re: J.J. Bass facebook update

I am excited to see JJ too, when i talked to him after the spring game i asked him what he thought of our current backs, he told me they are alright but nothing compared to what he brings to the table. Granted he has been the big fish in a little pond he definatly has speed and talent, he is turning in 4.43 40s and is 214 pounds right now. Cant wait to see him against big 12 caliber players. Also another notable thing he said, when i told him of the throwback game, way back.. I told him if he rushes for about 200 yards and has a couple touchdowns against Iowa, his uniform will probably sell for a grand, his response... a flat, better get that grand ready. Thats cocky, but thats what i like in a football player i just hope he does it. Also he is very well aware of Troy Davis and thinks he was a great player, so he knows the back expectations at ISU are rather high
