Mack Brown gives Jamie Pollard props.

Good article. good to see that Iowa State and Jamie Pollard are getting recognition from some big names!
I Also like how the Register has a picture of Guy Morriss on the page, claiming it to be Mack Brown. It couldnt be any more obvious, since he is sitting there with a BAYLOR HELMET!

Nice to see coaches around the league are praising Pollard. I'll bet a good number are quite envious of the AD we have.
Time for a raise for Pollard? I'd be for it...

He already has received a raise. I believe 3 or so weeks ago they said he was getting a $75,000 bonus/raise. If anyone else remembers let me know. But im pretty sure he has.

Ah, I had not heard anything about that.
-
it was a perfomance based bonus

He got a bonus for completing the facilities master plan and presenting it to the regents, which increased his total pay this year to 250,000.

This may sound immature and unrealistic but i really dont think that McD, McC, Fennely, Sanderson etc. should be paid more than their employer.

Just the way the market is. I don't think NBA players or NFL players should get paid more than coaches either... but they most certainly do except in extreme circumstances.

Clone33, I disagree on your pay comment. In sales organizations, the highest paid person in some companies is not the VP of sales, but rather the best front line sales person. They may have less gauranteed money, but no ceiling on the top end. I would have no problem having higher paid people reporting to me. That is a problem in the old command and control management style, but not if you are a servant leader.
