Yeah, I hate 7pm thursday games for that reason. It sucks at work the next day. But some of us have more than a McJob and we just cannot up and leave whenever.

Put me in the "Rome is a hack" camp.
I've tried listening but I just can't do it. Can you just say "Houston, or Columbus"? Can you just freaking talk like a normal human being?
His interviews are the most lob ball interviews I've heard since Chris Farley interviewed Paul McCartney on SNL.
And even he will admit that most of his "clones" are unemployed and calling from their mom and dad's basement.
Give me PTI any day over Rome
Rome is awesome, he replaced kornheiser for me when we lost espn radio. His show is great, i love it when he goes to the garden!!!! It is hilarious. War Rome being on the radio on every station from 11-2, live.
Smack off this friday.
"WHAT'S UP..." I hated Rome, unitl i had all last summer off and got to listen to him everyday and could follow along. That and i found out he despises KF. Vic from NoCal is EPIC. "I'm Out"
All I said was I do not like thurs night games because yes I have to be at work in the morning. Not calling any of you out that like them, but last year I did not get home till 1am. Sucks going to work the next day.
And yes, Rome is beneath me, his humor is really sophmoric and that just does not appeal to me.
Personally, I enjoy Rome's show.
What I find interesting about this thread is that it appears to me that the majority of posters that reside in Iowa do not like Rome whereas the majority of posters that reside outside of Iowa do like him.
What, exactly, do those of you in Iowa have against him and his show?
I would like to see the numbers by age group. I bet the 20 somethings all like him, heck when I was 20 I thought he was funny. Then the 30 somethings are not as thrilled with him, etc.
Or maybe it is the fact his schtick has not changed in 10 years. It is still the same 20 jokes as 10 years ago.
I'm 42 and I enjoy his show.
I think he is still funny for the most part. However there is no way I could listen to him everyday now like I did in my 20's. As far as the McJob statement, be careful with the generalizations. Some of us have freedom in our schedules your jabs come off as jealousy. :biggrin9gp:
I'm 25 and I can't stand it.
