they always talk about the negative stuff with us...
They're using the rag as their source.
that's just awesome.
Apparently that was submitted by Sean Keeler. No substanance whatsoever.
Aside for the blip that Bret Meyer is the QB, what does that tell you about spring ball? Not a d@mn thing. We've lost a bunch of close games, and OT's. A couple of players suspended and dismissed.
Did we even have spring ball??? Wouldn't know from that blurb....
Basically sums up my thoughts, done that many times.Quote:
"You don't want to talk to anybody about it," Jay Chapman, president of the Greater Des Moines Cyclone Club, told the newspaper. "You just want to go back to your tailgate, open up a couple of beers and just drink it away."
Good grief. 8 home games for the Huskers in 08? Might as well just give'em the North trophy now.Quote:
The Cornhuskers' 2008 nonconference schedule is nearly complete. Nebraska athletic director Steve Pederson is awaiting a signed contract from Western Michigan to conclude its scheduling for next season, the Lincoln Journal-Star reported. Nebraska will open the season with five straight home games, with contests set against San Jose State, New Mexico State, Virginia Tech and Western Michigan and a Big 12 opener against Missouri
that sounded more like a police blotter than a scouting report.
Let 'em fire away with low expectations and negative press. Maybe our opponents will look past us. Victories will be that much sweeter.
We need playmakers. We have playmakers. We need a supporting cast. These coaches have walked into a great situation. Any amount of luck will be appreciated. The past few years have been full of bad luck. I believe the "luck", was accepted by the past coaching staff. That was their downfall. (imo) How the hell does Meyer make last years preseason all big 12 in some peoples eyes? And nothing happens? I believe he is that good. We have some gifted talent. We need depth. (a supporting cast).
Anyone notice how we were like the only school were they based their review off of a "local" newspaper, as opposed to their own research/talking to the coaches? Certianlly wasn't a nice review nor did they really make note about the fact that we have a new coach...
They did a spring football report about a month ago on espn.com and they wrote about how Iowa State freshman wide receiver Jake Williams got arrested for underage drinking or something like that. I just thought it was funny that they wrote about a walk-on who will never see the field in order to make the program look stupid.
