Football entrance, tornado siren.

I made an online petition that you can feel free to sign if you would like to see the football players enter the stadium to a tornado siren.

This probably won't matter, it will be hard to get enough names... But if it does maybe this would provide some leverage for JP to put it in.

Maybe we could put the Engineering college to good use and have them make something that will create a real cyclone around the entrances too...

Will they say that we already play a (poor excuse of a) tornado siren before the game starts? I thought they said it was against the law or something, they didnt want people to actually think there was a tornado. I dont like the siren that they currently use, i cant even hear it from my tailgating spot. It sounds more like a foghorn, or a submarine diving horn, AAAOOoooOOOGggaaaaHHHHH.

If we keep the one we have, the announcer needs to yell "Man your battlestations!!" after it gets done firing off.

yea they can't use an actual tornado siren because it's against the law. otherwise i'm sure JP would have used it.

Yeah, I wasn't going for the ames area tornado sirens to go off... Maybe sort of cool, but kind of overkill. However I did leave specifics open... All I care about is that a siren goes off. As for laws... that is what petitions are for, to revoke or at least try to amend them. Laws are created by and for people.
If nothing else, at least a petition is something JP can use as evidence to appeal. If it doesn't work, no big deal, at least we tried to have a say in the gameday experience.

JP makes the decision. Local government decides if it complies with regulations.

If it doesn't, JP shows petition, petition is considered in outcome.

Maybe nothing will come of it, maybe something will, who knows. But for god's sake, if you want to see it, then just sign it. No sense in arguing about it or trying to detract voters.
