Went to Spiderman 3 at the Imax, pretty cool, although I thought that the movie was just ok......Kirsten Dunst is fine, but she didnt look as good as she did in the first two.

I have a real problem when someone hires Jessica Alba to be in their movie, and then casts her as an invisible woman. Maybe they should have cast Kirsten Dunst to be the invisible woman and Jessica Alba could have been prancing around in the water in the Spiderman movies.

Not gonna disagree with you on that one....

If they are going to use Jessica Alba then they need to use this uniform.
What ever happened to truth, justice and the American Way?
Haven't yet seen the 3rd one, but that won't likely happen until it's out on dvd. I just don't get what the huge obsession is with Spiderman nowadays, unless you're a huge comic book fan. Personally, Spiderman is one of my least favorite super heroes. Add to that the acting abilities of Tobey and it's enough for me to avoid the theatre.
Well, I just got back from a late showing, so I thought I'd weigh in.
As a huge fan of the first two movies, this one came off as a disappointment. However, given the circumstances, it's too much to ask Tobey Maguire to do another Spidey film. From what I hear, his back has been ailing him for several years now, and it's amazing he's been able to go this far. (They make a nod to this in the second movie where Parker shouts "I'm back, I'm back!", falls ten stories, and then gripes "My back, my back...")
Although, with this knowledge, they should've done the foreshadowing of the symbiote in the second film, right after they foreshadow the Green Goblin 2, and then made the third film all about the emergence of Venom. Seriously, they had that astronaut's pre-wedding ceremony or whatever in the 2nd film, would it be too hard to show a small teaser at the end of the second movie with the symbiote crawling out of a piece of gear in the astronomy lab or something? Bleh.
Overall, the film felt like 2 or 3 sequels squashed into one. Sam Raimi did an excellent job with the first movie, the second movie was great as well with a hint of awkward bits that were easily forgotten. However, the third movie is riddled with pacing problems, hard-to-believe villian alliances (Venom and the Sandman? Come on...), and awkward scenes that would've been better off in the DVD extras. There are other ways to show that Peter develops an ego the size of Manhattan.
With the knowledge of Maguire's health problems, they should have set the third film up a bit better if they intended to finish the series off with Venom. I felt as if Raimi knew this film would smash box office records no matter what he committed to film. The visual effects were astounding, and almost was worth the price of admission, but in hindsight, this would've been better off as a rental or a matinee.
