Grant Gibbs(update)
Grant Gibbs is now a four star per rivals. So in some peoples minds on this board he just changed from an MVC talent to Big 12 Caliber over night. Rivals updated their rankings and its cool to see how high up our prospects are jumping up!

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
that blows my mind because last i saw printy was a 2 star and i thought he was better than gibbs. is this a case of, since printy is going to indiana state he gets less stars than a player with an offer to a big 12 school?

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Tyrese Breshers was also upgraded to a 4 star player.
I don't think that's the case clones11. Jerry Meyer saw him at Kingwood and compared him to a 2006 4 star player Eric Hayes who went to Maryland. He's a legit player and I hope everybody who was poo pooing the offer are coming back to eat their words.

Grant Gibbs - Basketball Recruiting
Get him NOW. I like him way better today then yesterday. I am a homer like that.

Then again, the whole city of Ames could burn down including the mens BB training facility and I would pick ISU over the village idiots to the east. -
Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
MVC talent...plain and simple. Or Penn State.
Oh how 4 little stars completely will change someone's perspective.

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Great news! I guess that the coaches do know a thing or two about talent. Thanks for the link!!!

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Also, Brett Thompson, the big Center from Illinois was upgraded to the 108 player in the nation and almost made 4 star status.

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
I'd still rather focus on a big, but that's just me. Hopefully point guard isn't a big need with Diante and Marcus coming in. I'm not going to complain if we get the guy, but I'd still rather have Zeller. :p

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Gee, that GMac should quit wasting time with scouting Iowa players -
Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
I'd love to get Zeller too, but I'd also like a million dollars. We've been trailing with Zeller for a long time.
Gibbs is 4-star instate kid. IMO, we need to get him. My dream class for 2008 is Gibbs, Eikmeier, Buckley, and Breshers or Thompson. I think that would be an outstanding class.
Edit: Is there any news on how we stand with him? Does anybody live by him? What's the word on that side of the state?

Yesterday he wasn't even ranked (Rivals), and wasn't worthy of an offer from anything higher than the MVC.
Today he's a 4-star and we must have him.
I'm glad GMAC has the final say as opposed to anyone on here, including ME!!!

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
how about we give the coaching staff a little credit for finding these kids so soon.

Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Oh wait, is someone trying to tell me that our coaches can spot good talent BEFORE rivals or scout assigns them stars??? That's nearly impossible!! -
Re: Grant Gibbs(update)
Josh Crittle, another post player the staff is going after also jumped to a four star! There is also a new power forward on our list that is a four star Stan Simpson. I see Terrence Jennings isn't listed as one of our prospects yet! hopefully that changes.
