What season record would SHOCK you?

Not happy, not surprised, but what season record for football would shock you for Iowa State. I would be shocked with an 8-4 or better record...or 2-10 or worse. Anything in between would not be a total shock. Other thoughts?

If we end the season more than 1 game above .500 I would be shocked - Damn happy but shocked.
In the other direct if we get less than 3 wins I will be shocked - POed and shocked.

I'd be shocked if we won a game we weren't supposed to (like UT, OU, NE, or UI ect.)

Unfortunately, my expectations have increased with the new coaching staff and I fear much disappointment if we don't get close to .500. (It's unfortunate because it's more or less the same player personnel and they only went 4-8 last year)

I'd be shocked with 3 wins or less, or more than 7 wins. Kent State, UNI, and Toledo are very winnable games, and if we (god forbid) lose one of those, there's got to be at least one Big XII win in there somewhere.

I guess I'm right in line with majority opinion, less than 3 wins would be a major blow. Anything above 7 would also be a stunner.

I also feel the same as Nedrick, I feel like this coaching staff has really got my hopes up, and I'm trying to keep my expectations reasonable. It will take time to build something, this is mostly the same team as the one that was 4 plays from 0-12 last season. I believe the talent was there to be a big 12 north contender, but there is no way to prove that.

So.... here is hoping for a shock.... in a good way.

To go to extremes, 14 wins would shock me in a way to start jogging a mile every day and attending church more than once a week.

14 losses would shock me as well. I would start to wonder about temporal rifts and Star-Trek-type conditions.

In the land of reality, an 8 win season would completely shock and excite me.
Seven would be a blast.
Six would be a great start.
Five would be adequate.
Four with a big upset (NU, EIU, Tech, or OU) would be inspiring.
Three would be difficult to swallow but could be "growing pains" if they play well.
Two - isn't very good.
One - unnacceptable.
Zero - pathetic.

don't get expectations too high, remember the o and d line lost a lot. they lost a lot of below average players. those below average players were ahead of the talent that Chizick is working with today. if we see a huge improvement it will be because MAC and CO. were poor coaches or they didn't realize that they had talent sitting on the bench. i am guessing that ISU can mustard up 4 wins like last year, maybe 5. This schedule is going to be tough, but the bright side we will be seeing the foundation being laid for the future........too bad Meyer and Blythe are going to be seniors.

Anything less than 4 wins would shock me because I truly don't think we will end up with less wins than last year. 8 wins or more would shock the hell out of me.
