NBA screwed up big time
Stoudemire, Diaw suspended for 1 game; Horry for 2 - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
Wow, I hate the Spurs more than any team in the NBA. Duncan is the biggest whiner ever. Every call against him, he has the dumbest look on his face. If they're gonna bench Diaw and Amare, maybe they should have noticed Duncan leaving the bench earlier during a scuffle. Completely unfair and unprofessional.
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

This is stupid...how do you not suspend bowen for the knee to the balls?

Unfortunately it is the rule but....
No reason to suspend this guys for taking 2 steps onto the court. They were in no way involved with the incident. The NBA messed up once again. This kills the Suns when they were the ones who were getting beat on
I do see what you are saying on the Spurs though. The more I watch them the more I hate them. Cheap shots all around and the second Kobe's arm flails a bit, he gets suspended (Ginobli). Same goes now for Amare and Boris.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
This is totally a joke. If you wish to go to the letter of the law, take Steve Kerr's advice and suspend Duncan for stepping over the line in the first half.
The Spurs have been embarrassing, and this is not what I would expect of them. I will be rooting for the Suns the whole way.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
Ughh I hate the Spurs, if they win the next game I will be ******. Amare and Diaw kick butt. This isn't fair

Re: NBA screwed up big time
Horry checking Nash like that actually helped the Spurs in the series. He not only almost injures the should be three time MVP but in the aftermath he disqualifies PHX's top scorer and back up for Game 5.
The NBA has to stop kissing @$$ to the Spurs. It's getting ridiculous.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
I'm really tired of seeing the Spurs be good. They're like the NBA's version of the Braves. Not to mention, they're one of the most boring teams to watch, as evidenced by their best player being nick-named the "Big Fundamental".

Re: NBA screwed up big time
Duncan did get screwed over when he was on the bench and got 2 technical fouls by Crawford though.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
What an inconsistent call. Duncan should be gone for a game. That is the fair aproach. On court is on court unless you are the Spurs. NBA Stern is spineless. Baron Davis not suspended. Hmm.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: NBA screwed up big time
I couldn't agree more. Amare did nothing, yet the Suns end up being penilized to a much greater degree than the team the caused the incident. I'm really getting tired of the dirty play in the NBA. The Warriors are just as bad. Look at that cheap shot by Baron Davis and nothing happens to him at all. The NBA is turning into the ECW.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
And Bruce Bowen continues with his antics with no punishment. Knee'ing guys in the crotch, kicking other players in the back of the leg while coming down from a jump......things that can cause serious injuries and are obviously intentional acts. But, he's on the Spurs, so the NBA does nothing about it.
If that incident last night had happened in front of the Spurs' bench, you can be damn sure a couple of their guys would have come off the bench and nothing would have happened to them. They would have been "acting as peacemakers," I'm sure.
It just isn't right. The Spurs should not benefit from a ruckus that was caused by one of their own idiot players.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
Growing up in Central Iowa I was never an NBA fan, but since moving to Phoenix I've jumped on the Suns bandwagon. But after this incident I think I'm done watching the NBA. When you have referees that have admitted out loud to not calling fouls on stars to keep them in the game you have to question the legitimacy of the league.

Re: NBA screwed up big time
Guys, blame the rule. Don't blame the NBA for enforcing it. They had no choice but to suspend them. The only reason Horry received two games in this instance is so it would be more than what Stoudemire and Diaw are getting.
The reason Duncan and Bowen weren't suspended for stepping onto the court in the second quarter (I believe) is that there was no altercation. Technically, the rule had not been broken.
I'd be absolutely shocked if the rule isn't changed this offseason, but they had to suspend them. It's really unfortunate for the Suns.

You sound like KU fans justifying a three pointer in between two free throw shots.
