I think I saw a picture of the World War II memorial. What were your impressions? I donated to that, but I have heard a lot of mixed reviews. When I was in DC, I went to the Vietnam memorial, and that really makes an impression on you. -

Really enjoyed the WWII Memorial - I found it to be very beautiful. As you can see, the fountains were very nicely done.
Sadly, we only saw it at night - didn't get back there to see it in the daylight as well. We were back in the area during the day, yet needed to see the Vietnam Wall and Korean War Memorial before the sun went down.
So much to do and not enough time.
One of my favorite photos is the one below, inside the Air & Space Museum at the Smithsonian. Very unique lighting (or lack thereof) and with a bit of flash, was able to bring this out nicely.
