Paul Eells dead at age 70
Paul Eells, who was born in West Branch, Iowa, was killed in a car crash on Monday night. Eells was the voice of the Arkansas Razorbacks for years. Though never a huge razorback fan myself, Paul was a great broadcaster that was a class act and a terrific broadcaster for the University of Arkansas. He was killed going home from a golf tournament in Fayetteville ( this is where the University of Arkansas is located). Eells was a hero here and will surely be missed.

yes, thank you ferdnand1 I meant to mention that and also that he graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree and launched his career in Keokuk, Iowa KOKX radio. again thanks ferdnand1, I meant to mention it but I am glad that someone did. Even if he was a Hawkeye, he was still a darn good announcer.
