Just got back from the Cyclone Tailgate Tour

I just got back from the Cyclone Tailgate Tour in Cedar Rapids and it was AWESOME!!

All of the coaches (Fennelly, McDermott, Chizik and Sanderson) were there plus others and I got to meet all of them and get pictures with most of them. Pollard gave a great short speech geared toward those of us putting up with the Hawkeyes over here.

Also, six football players (Meyer, Blythe, Bowen, Banks, Barkema and Taylor) were there as well for autographs and pictures.

I'm guessing there were 2,000 people there? (I'm bad at estimating) There were a ton of kids there which was good to see and was a great event that was well organized. I would highly recommend every Cyclone fan go to one. It's very energizing especially for those of us over here.

great news! i think i'll be heading to the one in waterloo.. hopefully that one gets as good of a turnout!

I wasn't going to go but finally decided to at 6:00 PM. Boy was I glad I did! I encourage everyone to make it to one of these events this summer. I'll be going to the one in Ames as well.

Chizik is a cool guy. Got a few autographs and pictures.

Chizik has been one busy dude. I felt bad for him when I'd see him and the family at basketball games this winter. People constantly up in his face one after another and the classy guy that he is, he gave everyone equal time.

I'll only get to drop by the Cyclone Tailgate Tour in Davenport tonite. I've got a softball game at 7:00 and since my wife works till 6 tonite, I get to cook dinner.

For any in the Quad Cities Metro area, it's gonna be at LeClaire Park in Davenport tonite. LeClaire Park is right on the riverfront, just east of John O'Donnell Stadium and west of Rhythm City Casino.

Why cook when you can tailgate? Plenty of burgers and dogs to go around...
