Any word on Mike Taylor yet?

The last I recall the court date was set for early June (4?). Has there been anything happening yet?

Case: 02851AMSMSM063619 - 5th Degree Theft/shoplifting incident he was fined $182.00 (4/20-Old news???)

Case: 02851 SRCR038690 - 5th Degree Criminal Mischief Plead Guilty Fined $765.54 and 2 days jail-time already served (6/04)

He was originally charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief but plea bargained to 5th Degree.

Mike aint going anywhere. He would not be teaching at summer camps if he was going somewhere.

He might not be going anywhere but I would imagine he will be suspended for several games. If I were Mac, I would also institute a zero tolerance policy with Mike.

Personally, if I found out that Micheal Taylor had run one too many yellow lights or not even slowed down a bit, I would throw him off the team. He might be over 21 already, but I think it is important in this individual case to have an absolute zero tolerance policy.

Here is typically my line of thinking when a player gets into trouble with alcohol.

1st Offense: Mistake, Lack of Judgement, it happens to everyone
2nd Offense: Well, that was dumb. Didn't you learn anything the 1st time?
3rd Offense: Inexcusible
4th Offense: Bu-bye (Although IMO, the 3rd and 4th offenses can be combined...3 strikes and you're out. But since he got away with Strike #3, I have included Strike #4)

I would imagine that part of his punnishment is doing certian tasks like helping out at the camps and other activities for which he would be a representative of the ISU men's basketball program. If he does all of the things McDermott sets out for him do he will probably look favorably and the suspension be less.
