Names on Jerseys

Has anyone else noticed that in the pictures from the tailgating tour the Jerseys that the players are wearing don't have there names on them. Do you think Chizik is removing the names and saying we are a team or is it they just aren't on the jerseys yet.

I was at the tour stop in Mason City yesterday and I asked a player about the name plates and he said that Chizik has removed them from the jerseys.

Very interesting...wonder how long that will last. Just for the off-season or if that will be the '07 look.

If that's the case, I really don't like it.

I understand the coach's need to emphasize team over player, but from a fan standpoint this really sucks. It's not always easy to figure out who's who by jersey numbers alone. It's nice to have the name on the back of the jersey.

probably saved money by not having them placed on the jerseys since they will only be used for a year. But i say put the name plates on and auction them babys off after this year

I definitely like the convenience of having names on the back, but it'd be sweet if we were transitioning to a more "classic" look.

I've always been a fan of the no names on the back. The names on the back don't matter nearly as much as the name on the front.

but no names on back makes us look like a DivII school that cant afford new Unis every year... the highschool students like to Rep their names when they come to a school. and we have a few double numbers.. since derron montgomery is going to be back.. what happens when chiz mixes up Mongomery and James Smith? hmm
