No offense to Pollard because I'm as big of a fan as the next cyclone but what has he done that would make him attractive for that job? He has a lot of plans for Iowa State but nothing has really come to fruition just yet. Except for building excitement, he has done a great job of that. Give it another 2-3 years and I think the situation will be completely different but as of right now, there are a lot of plans/dreams but none have really been realized yet.

lets not forget that pollard fell in love with ames and wants to keep his family here. where does the big xii comish reside anyway? and furthermore, where is this report coming from? i cant find anything that the comish is leaving.
Would it really surprise anyone if a Texas guy gets the job? I still love it how some fan from one of the Big 8 schools brings the Big 8 banner to the Big 12 MBB Tournament.
I hope the Texas guy doesn't get it he'll probably start to push to get ISU and CU out of the big 12. You can only allow Texas so much power before it gets bad.

I don't think the commish job would be challenging enough for Pollard. It's more of an administrative job than anything and an AD job is more "hands on" and has more exciting aspects to it.

No one is going to push anyone out. ISU has had more sucess in the big 12 than some of the texas schools, what has TT or Baylor done? aTM has only been good in bball 1 year, and their football team is only slightly better than ISU in the last few years.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin 1775
Two words TCU and Arkansas (or some other teams from the old SWC). Most of the Texas teams see playing us as an inconvenience. At least that's the vibe I get from other message boards.
