A night with the enemy

I spend 5 hours last Friday night on a houseboat with 4 other couples, including Reece Morgan, a member of the Hawkeye coaching staff. I made sure we brought our Cyclone koozies, knowing who would be on board. The boat owner is a Cyclone also.

Reece is a great guy and had a lot of good things to say about the Cyclones. And you can rest assured, based on comments about ISU and some of our opponents, that they have been studying our films over the summer. It's hard to hate the enemy when they have quality guys like this on their staff. Of course I still want to kick their butt.

You know, if we do win at Kinnick this year, that will take the wind out of their sails. It is like the American league versus the National league in the all star game. Trends do not lie.

although last time we beat them in IC they didnt loose a game the rest of the year if i recall right so hopefully all it does is boost the ISU confidence level so we can go and kick some Longhorn tail the next weekend
