Michael O'Connell Injury?

I see he is still the #1 on the Depth Chart for this week, but I was just curious if anyone has heard how significant his hand injury was last Thursday?

He had it wrapped up after the game, and I assumed he would be playing this week as long as nothing serious was wrong. But I did hear he was in immense pain throughout the game.

Chris, do you know much about his status, other than that he is listed as the starter?

EDIT: Actually I've heard this now from another place. It may have some truth to it.

I'm hoping not, I could really go without seeing anymore of these threads for a while.

He fractured the lower part of his thumb, he did have a minor surgery for it this week but is not supposed to be serious and is supposed to play this weekend, just with a cast.

shouldnt affect him too much i hope. if it is an issue, sandvig and sims should be fine.

pretty sure I saw him walking around HyVee friday night with, I assume, is his girlfriend.

This is good news. One time I tried going to Hy-Vee with an injury and it was just not possible.

Well, that proves he is fine. Nobody could ever go to Hy-Vee with a thumb injury.

Great news. He is an IC Regina kid who grew up an Iowa fan, but is full-fledged cyclone who wants to crack some heads this Saturday. I hope he plays
