Who has the breakout game?
Who do you guys think will have a breakout game Saturday against the Hawks for the Clones? I would really really like to see Arnaud just tear apart the Hawkeye defense secondary. Iowa seemed to have a bunch of holes back there and if Arnaud can play smart i can really see him hitting open men down feild all day. Our WR's are going to have to catch the ball, which seemed like they did well Thursday night. Who do you think will have a breakout game? If you want to vote defense you can vote on the "Other".

Re: Who has the breakout game?
David Sims will make some momentum shifting plays.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
I like the David Sims pick, but the "breakout" game will be Adrian Clayborn for Iowa. A nationally televised game against our consistently inconsistent line will shoot him up those DPoY boards.
However, I hope I am dead wrong and it's Sims picking Stanzi multiple times or A-Rob ripping up that defense.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
Collin Franklin already practically had a break out game against NIU, but I could see him having another big one. Seems like he's our best weapon that is still under the radar.
Another cool thing would be a big play from Shontrelle Johnson lined up in the slot, like the play with Bates a few years ago... except hopefully he doesn't end up splitting time at Ohio U.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
I can't say Franklin for this one. Honestly, though he is a very good player, a good chunk of his success comes from the fact that TE's are overlooked in the spread. When the TE is in people are looking for the zone read and the LB's don't pay enough attention. I think that's was happened with NIU. If anyone has a break out game it will be Darks. His speed and crisp routes are what got him catches against NIU and they will be what propels him forward against a much better Iowa D.

A-Rob will have the breakout game, but Arnaud will make just enough bone-headed plays to prevent the upset unfortunately.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
Unlike most people in these threads, I still remember last year.
Nobody (on the ISU side) will.

AA, for not repeating his passing over the middle from last year.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Who has the breakout game?
I'll go off the beaten path with Lenz. He has the ability to make people miss, and we're going to need someone to do that a few times.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
Franklin. A lot of teams we are going to play this season will have a ton of trouble with the big guy. He is a big-athletic guy and huge for us on third downs. He creates some mis-matches out there.
I like him scoring in the red zone for us against the team out east. (We need him to be a great go-to guy and very clutch.) And I also feel that ISU in general will get back to scoring numerous TD's against the black and gold.

Re: Who has the breakout game?
Is it "best" game, or breakout game? The two are entirely different. One os simply reflective of quality, the other of emergence into a top flight player. AA and ARob haver already established themselves.
As far as a breakout, my money would be on Sed or um, Money.
