Living in Cedar Rapids, my life will be much better. The team needs to take it a game at a time. Not confident we can win in Kinnick but glad we have to play the game!!

Re: When we beat Iowa..will it set off a firestorm?
The most likely scenario is that the Big Ten realizes they made a huge mistake inviting Nebraska and not us, so they boot the Huskers back to the curb, and while they're at it they send Iowa packing, too (because, let's face it, the Big Ten really has no business losing to Big 12 schools), and they invite us in their stead. In a grand ceremony full of garlands of fresh herbs and a Metallica tribute band, Jamie Pollard is crowned Deus Optimus Maximus of the Big Ten, and he takes his seat atop a throne built on the tears and vacated trailers of Hawkeye fans, and Gregory Geoffrey distributes a $5 million stipend monthly to every Iowa State alum.

Don't we want Jamie on a more stable throne than one built from trailer parts?

In the event we win... Sure, we'll have a fun time with it, whereas Hawkeye fans will go back into hiding and brainstorm "what went wrong" lose another game... give Ferentz another raise... lose to Ohio St... give Ferentz another raise... ultimately get their 6 or 7 wins and go to a Jan. 1 bowlgame... yadda, yadda...

I'm actually a little nervous in the fact that if ISU does win, it will give the U of I more reason to cancel the series. the State is at a point where the series is in jeopardy and the U of I and Big 10 currently holds the faith of the series in their hands.

It will be excellent and we will party hard! However, it wouldnt be a first. ISU has had several big-time upsets in this series over the last decade. I dont think an ISU win should truly shock anyone.

So....you are nervous about success? Do you really mean to imply that it would be better if we lose?
Let Iowa cancel the series - it will be the bragging rights of all bragging rights
