Re: Would you rather....
K-State by a landslide. How is ISU not in the hunt for the North title right now?

Re: Would you rather....
This really bites the whole "conference games are more important than the pukeyes" theory in the ***. I hate it when we come off as little brothers. Whip up on K-State over the pukeyes any day.

Good thing it's not up to me what games I'd rather win or lose.
What do the players say?

Re: Would you rather....
Want to win both!!!! Never accept defeat.

It really comes down to how the team perceives it. As a fan, if I only got one win all year, it would be against Iowa just so I could talk **** all year, instead of having the **** thrown in my face. However, if you told me we were going to go 11-1, and the one loss had to either be a conference game or the Iowa game, I would want to lose the Iowa game.

Re: Would you rather....
KSU, I think last Big XII North champion is an ambitious, but reasonable, goal for this team, and one I'd rather have them acheive than beating Iowa. The Iowa game "what-ifs" are always such loaded questions though.

I agree with your conclusion, but not the reasoning behind it. How can you say the Iowa game isn't as important and then turn around and have such a complex about looking like "little brothers"? The way we are perceived by people relative to the Hawkeyes is obviously important to you, so it would seem like this game should be a big deal.
I would take the K-State win because it paves the way toward a Big XII championship which would mean more to me than beating Iowa.

Re: Would you rather....
Considering we should be beating Iowa in just about all the other sports for the next several years, I'll let them have a football win. Would rather beat K-state in football and be more attractive to the 500 Texas D-I players than the 10 from Iowa each year. We do well in the Big 12 and pickup recruiting in the hotbed of Big 12 territory, then beating Iowa in the future and picking up more in-state recruits will become quite a bit easier.

a lot of ******** in this thread. Good to see reason is starting to take over. Conference wins are always more valuable than non-conference wins, even if its iowa.
read this post quickly - it might not last long -

I should have learned my lesson from past experiences and ignored this thread. Instead I ignored my instincts and now I must suffer through the mental anguish I so rightfully deserve.
