Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
I really like AA as a person, he's a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. He's going to be successful at whatever he does when he graduates.
But ... overall he's not been a good QB for this team, he has almost no touch on his passes. Why is he throwing 90mph fastballs on a lot of the short routes? Just leads to deflections and picks. And he has trouble feeling pressure sometimes. Bottom line, too many TO's, which kills the team.
To be fair, the O line almost got him killed today too, so it's not 100% on AA. I would like to see Tiller more, but I doubt that will happen.

Against a top ten team at their house and we play them 7 -7 in the second half!
Put aside the first half and it was actually a good effort. PR has us headed in the right direction.
Our play in the second half was a step forward.

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
The same thing is going to happen in Norman and Austin. Teams like Iowa, OU and Texas are just miles ahead of us. There isn't another team left on the schedule outside of those three however that I don't think we can compete with. A good season is still within grasp but today was pretty embarrassing

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
Tom Herman has been a major let down.
LJ and Sims fighting on the field looks awful.
Iowa has come ready to play us the last three years and we have been handed our *** each time.
D-Line has been bad for about 3-4 years. It's time to get some d-line players, please.

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
At some point, we are going to have to get a special QB again to give ourselves a chance against these teams. Watching the Michigan game now, this QB is insane. I realize he is a special player, but we need another guy like Seneca. Guy that can run and pass and take a game over. Until we get that guy or develop one, we aren't going to be much better than .500.
Defense just has to get bigger, stronger and faster. I think it can over time, but it will take a few years of recruiting and coaching continuity.
Not a whole lot of analysis to do on today's game. Iowa has the benefit of continuity and they have had time to build their program up after Fry left. PR has not had that time yet. Iowa is bigger, stronger and faster at every position and was better coached today. End of story.

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
Don't forget we've handed Iowa their a** a couple times and they've gone on to successful years. We should have the same attitude.
EIU has a lot of talent this year and played a perfect game today. We were mediocre at best. But there's no reason to give up, let's learn and move on.
