Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
It must be something about seeing that yellow and black across the line from him that gets into Arnauds head, or something. He just implodes for the Iowa game. Way too many passes thrown too hard, at their feet, over their head, etc.
We played right into the strengths of Iowa trying to throw over the middle and run right up the gut. When Arob got out on the edge, he got some yards. Arnaud didn't run the ball enough. It didn't seem like Herman made any adjustments on the offense to try and do something different.
One definite bright spot was Shontrelle on kick returns. Giving us the ball at the 40/50 yard line will definitely help in the future.

Next week will tell the tale of the season. If we beat KSU we can still have a good season and go 6-6, maybe 7-5. If we lose in KC, its going to be a LONG year

Put aside the first half and it was actually a good effort. PR has us headed in the right direction.
Our play in the second half was a step forward. You do realize a good part of the second half was ISU's first string against Iowa's 2nd/3rd/4th string...
Or perhaps your post was sarcasm...

Come on guys. Ya ISU lost, key thing is to move on after tough losses. I believe this team will and will get to the magical 6 wins.

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
What I found disturbing was the lack of solid tackling. I thought that these guys were taught fundamentals, but there were some sloppy arm tackles and very poor angles on the defensive side.
I liked the way Knott started the game but those guys had to be beat by halftime.
I liked the way Money Reynolds finished the game. The few times I saw him he was still playing hard. That block on the edge was text book and he held it forever.
Other then that it was a long freakin' day. Can't say I'm going to save any money for bowl tickets.

We can't ever figure out Texas Tech, Northern Iowa gives us fits even though we should thump them, and Missouri, Colorado, and KU can never be chalked up as automatic wins for the Clones.

He should qualify for a medical red shirt. The offense is going to have to score a lot of points this year.

I can't decide which looks worse. A graphic on TV showing we've been outgained 218 to -2 or some of our fans claiming that Iowa isn't that good after winning a BCS bowl and outscoring us 70-10 in the last two years.

Re: ***ISU vs. Iowa postgame thread***
This team did not come to play today. The oline looked like they never played a game before and then that lead to the problems with the rest of the offense. The dline needs alot of work. I didn't think we would have won today but I thought the game would have been alot closer. I hope this embarassmet wakes up the whole team. Dwell on it tonight but get back to work tomorrow. Need to start off the conference season with a win.
