Kind of typifies ISU that we are pushing a coach for "Coach of the Year" after a loss. Yeah, I read about how it is supposed to be about stuff "off the field", yada yada, but it still says a lot about us. The award is about "Sportsmanship, Integrity, Responsibility, and Excellence", both on the field and off the field. If it were all about a winning record, they wouldn't stage a vote, they would just wait until the end of the season and give the award to the National Championship coach. I think that Paul most certainly deserves to be in the top ten regarding the qualities of Sportsmanship, Integrity, Responsibility, and Excellence.
As a side note, Kirk Ferentz (whose team just lost a big one) is sitting at #6.

Notice the link on the voting page that says something like "Don't know your coach's name or school?" I hope clicking this link just removes your IP address from voting eligibility.

Okay, be honest. Are some of you turning on the votes for GC, just to mock him? The rate at which his votes are adding up looks fishy (our kind of fishy)! Or maybe GC was the one who was doing all the voting for Cy as Fiercest Mascot.
