I love how people are ripping on the guys on our team that have been the most effective.

I like the combination, Woody as a power back runs with a lower pad level than AA and Tiller brings explosion/breakaway speed you miss when ARob sits.

AA and the running backs played well yesterday for what was in front of them. People would rather rip on them than look at pathetic wide receivers and line play. And of course they'd rather think about how awesome someone like Seneca was and how he'd make the plays because he was perfect. Bit of revisionist history but whatever. People take plenty of stupid pills when teams lose. AA was the least of the issues yesterday. Maybe the line needs to pull their heads out of their ***** and give him a little time to throw, ESPECIALLY when K-State is getting to AA with 3 or 4 undersized rushers! Or maybe the line should quit taking a holding penalty on 3rd and 2 to force 3rd and 12 where we can't go to our strength (running the ball). Maybe the receivers could fight off press coverage once this season. Thanks Collin Franklin for at least putting some effort in.

"have been" being the key words here. I think they should give Tiller and Woody a shot; what do we have to lose??? We are losing with AA and ARob, so if we lose with Tiller and Woody we are in the exact same place.

I really think Tiller and Woody can provide a shot in the arm for our O. They might not be as talented as AA or ARob, but sometimes change wakes everyone up.

    Re: Tiller and Woody

I think we should remember that our recruits and players read these boards. They are just college kids, lets not bash them to much.
I agree with an earlier post that maybe AA is more of a practice player than a gamer. We had a kid in high school that was a practice stud. He made incredible shots, driving and scoops shots. He could handle the ball and do anything in practice. But when game time came, he crapped his pants. He tried to do way more than he could do. He was a nervous reck!!!!! Maybe thats AA!?????
I also would like to see Tiller get more snaps and Woody get more carries, and Shontrelle get some snaps even in the slot.

    Re: Tiller and Woody

The problem is 27 against a MAC team at home, 7 as a third team gift in last three minutes against Iowa, and 13 against a supposed defenseless slow KSU.

Now Ball State and Miami of Ohio could do as well if they played those games.

That means, we should be able to tinker more, with small loss, by making some changes in offense. We could score this much with a full house backfield or a single wing. 5 TDs in 3 games is the makings of future losses.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Yeah, bench your two senior captains. More than likely not going to work out for you.

Yeah, keep them in - how's that working? Just because they are seniors and captains doesn't mean they aren't subject to the same treatment. There is something a mis with our O. Maybe it's not them, but we can't do any worse, so why not try something else.

I remember the Bulls in the finals with the Trailblazers and Michael Jordan was having a bad night. Phil benched him in the 2nd half. The reserves came in a played inspired ball. They put life back into the team and brought the Bulls back. Jordan came off the bench late in the 4th and had his game back. Sometimes benching players wakes them and the team up.

    Re: Tiller and Woody

How the **** is AA a choke artist? Did he not have us in the lead in the 4th quarter? Did our defense not give the lead up late in the game on a methodical drive by KState?

Does anyone not recall how poor of a passer Tiller has been?

I absolutely love the way Woody runs but the plays he was given were different than ARob. Woody was allowed to run quick hitters. With ARob, we're always running zone reads. I think the zone reads have their place, but I'd love to see us run more straight ahead quick hitters.

Woody deserves a bit more time on the field - but go with him in place of ARob? Moronic.

    Agreed.

This group sounds like the bunch of nancy Hawk fans poked fun here of last couple seasons when the back-up quarterback was crowned the team savior.

Maybe this weeks game with UNI. We haven't played any easy teams to give anyone extra minutes under fire. Last week in the fourth we gave some of the 2nd team a chance to play.
Unlike K-state who played Missouri State and got a good practice game in. UNI is no walk over either so playing time is a not all ways and option we have for the 2nd team.
We need to Win again, if we get WAY ahead play the 2nd team, but win first.

I'd love to see Woody , A-Rob and Austen in the pistol formation same play, who you gonna watch.
Button, button who's got the button. Oops, guess my age is showing.

How do you know how bad of a passer he is? By his one and ONLY throw this season he proved to me that he can pass. He had touch and perfect timing...not to mention the knowledge of the offense to check off to that play. And if the cornerback wouldn't have grabbed Money's arm it would have been a touchdown!

Don't tell me that he can't pass if all your going on is the two games last year!

Everyone can go ahead and get off of ARob.......until our passing game starts clicking, he will be the focus of every defense.
Don't forget Shontrelle Johnson, when he touches the ball i get excited!

Were we watching the same series? Every run that Woody had was the read option! Tiller carried out the fake each time and he even kept it once. The big difference is that Tiller can actually run the read option very well (thats what he ran in high school) Arnaud isn't very good at it and he is still learning.
The difference between Woody and A-Rob is that Woody hit the hole and went. A-Rob is more of the slasher, dancer type of back so he doesn't hit the hole as hard. Don't get me wrong, I like A-Rob and think he should be starting but I think Woody and Johnson should start getting more carries. Maybe bring one of them in and slide A-Rob out to slot more.
