It was OPI but I don't think the refs had a good enough angle to call it. If we were Texas vs KU it gets called

IMO that's correct, the higher ranked team gets the benefit of the doubt.
The polls said K-state was favored to win, it may influence their mind set.
Unless it's really obvious like last years Nebraska's game higher ranked teams get the breaks. No calls, close calls or ghost calls are saved for the underdogs.
How many times do we hear the "officials don't want to determine the out come".
A no call is a bad call that determines the out come.
They are paid to make unbiased calls, do your job.
