I have a Question about Rhoads
Why is he okay with pulling A-ROB but not Arnaud? Last year he talked about how important it is for the back up to get time and experience. what happened to that?

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
Maybe its because there isn't a huge drop off between the running back and there is between the quarterbacks? Maybe AA gives us the best chance to win?
I dunno, Cyclone fans are turning into Hawk fans screaming for the backup?

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
Pulling a RB is much different than a QB.
For one, it may not be a case of "pulling" A-Rob. It would be realistic that Rhoads is limiting his carries this year to keep him healthy all year, rather than running into a situation like last year.
Additionally, the quarterback is the one position where decisiveness is most important. If a QB thought he was getting yanked for a mistake, he would begin to sceond guess throws, which would inevitably lead to more mistakes. It makes tons of sense to let your QB play through struggles, but with an RB you first must monitor the number of carries he gets, and second it is easier to a running back to step in and fill the gap.

Ya thats a great question! I think all of us are wondering the same thing! Had we played JT in the Iowa game he would have had more experience and a better feel going into the game yesterday and possibly could have led to a start vs. UNI! Jeff Woody is a great back and has looked much better than ARob this year! ARob should be put more into the passing game. Give him so open space and he's gone. He blew right by the K State secondary yesterday but Arnaud had to overthrow him by 10 yards!

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
With Texas, Okie, and Nebby defenses on the horizon, CPR needs to get some reps to the second qb. With all the hits AA gets running, he needs to prepare to go to the backups.
For the record, Woody looks like a tough hombre.

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
You never pull the starting quarterback unless you need to, why do you think Kolb is still the official starter in Philly when everyone knows Vick is better?

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
I dont think he pulled ARob. He said Woody was going to see some PT, before the game. It is hard ona RB to go every down every game.

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
Maybe the other DCs are having an easy time preparing for AA. KSU looked a little flate footed when Tiller came in shaking off some tackles. It couldn't hurt in my uninformed opinion to have both of them playing....

I dunno, Cyclone fans are turning into Hawk fans screaming for the backup? How does 15/27 122 yds and 1 td give us the best chance to win? Keep in mind K state gave over 450 yards to Missouri State the previous week.

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
I dont see it as "pulling" Arob. Rb is a much easier postion to get reps for multiple players. If that the same as getting benched every starter in the country gets benched every week.

He's just too good of an athlete to not use in some and we have no other gamebreakers and I'm not sure any of the other skill guys are as fast as he is.

Re: I have a Question about Rhoads
I have heard from a couple different people that Tiller is not the answer for our QB problems, which would explain why AA has a long, long leash.
