What types of tricks are people wanting to see Herman roll out?

I'm not necessarily looking for trick plays...just some creative play calling.

Reverses, RB screens, mis-direction...things of that nature...something to keep the defense on their toes. I know they tried a RB screen and it got blown up...

Now granted, personnel is probably a major factor in what they can/will run...

It just feels like they haven't really opened the offense up and I'd be curious to see what would happen if they threw caution to the wind and took some chances...as Blum wrote, they hardly have any big plays.

Next week I would like to see him roll out an old Siegfried and Roy trick and make a panther disappear.

This. We need to be more innovative after five touchdowns in 180 minutes.

We are like the prize fighter that stands pat in the middle of the ring and let's the action come to them. We are always the ones that look surprised.

We had two explosive plays on saturday.

The screen got blown up, but it's the first thing you want to see more of? The screen got blown up because teams do not have to blitz us to get pressure. The screen is called to slow down the pass rush. Not gonna work when teams don't have to rush us hard to stop our offense.

Counters/reverses work only when the original version of the play works consistently. So far, not the case.

We can't stretch the field and get big plays because the line doesn't give us time and we lack the breakaway speed at receiver.

Our offense has a plethora of issues. Offensive plays/scheme is just one of them.

The screen that got blown up was not executed well at all...screens work well against an aggressive 4 man rush, not just blitzes...so long as the lineman get out to take care of the LBs.

And counters/reverses at the right time can at least get the defense thinking of something else...much like the fake reverse that Loney used to run...he didn't always give the guy in motion the ball but it caused the defense to at least think about the guy which helped open up lanes for the RB.

I agree with you about the line play and receiver speed...which is why I said that personnel might be affecting the play calling.

I was jealous of their offensive line, running back, and defense that could tackle.

There is a whole lot more to a running play than who carried the ball and in what direction....

I've seen very little (if any) misdirection in our offense this season. Disappointing to be so basic. Makes us very easy to prepare for.

execution, abilities, and the coaches confidence in the two aforementioned words. Our coaches are fine.

Just found myself being jealous of their creativity...really thought Herman was going to run an offense a lot like that...creative plays that get your playmakers involved.

It has only been 2 games so I'm sure there are plenty of tricks up Herman's sleeve...at least I hope so.

I was more jealous of their playworking than their playcalling.

Yes. Especially when they kept calling for their running back to get 8-10 yds per.
