Rain Closes ALL Grass Parking Lots near Jack Trice Stadium
AMES, Iowa -- Due to continued rainfall, ALL grass parking lots near Jack Trice Stadium are CLOSED for today's Iowa State football game vs. UNI. The lots are too muddy for any automobiles to safely park. ISU Parking Division officials encourage fans to park on central campus or in nearby paved lots in Ames and walk or take CyRide to the game. Mark Miller of ISU's Parking Division encourages fans to arrive early and allow for extra time to get to the stadium. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. No public parking will be available north of Center Drive around Hilton Coliseum due to ongoing flood recovery work.

I'm staying at the Gateway just off of University and I'm trying to decide on a strategy to get to the game. Parking sounds like it's going to be a nightmare. Is there a cyride near the hotel that will take us to the game? Should I call a cab and if so how reliable is that going to be right before the game?

Cyride screwed the pooch by not announcing that they were not going to run the Kmart shuttle. About 3000 people had to make the trek from Kmart to the stadium thinking the shuttle was running.
