Expectations of our offense tonight
What does everyone want to see out of our offense tonight that would give you hope going forward that we can still make a bowl game?
And don't tell me that as long as we win it doesn't matter, because it does.
Chances are, this will be the easiest of all our remaining games. So if the offense barely eeks out a victory tonight over UNI, it probably means we may not win another game all year.
I think we need to see a dominate running game... ARob over 150 yds. And then I want to see AA complete over 65% of his passes, no INTs, and over 250 yds. I want to see us approach 500 yds of total offense.
If we can't force our will on UNI, then tell me how we are going to win another game this year?

Re: Expectations of our offense tonight
I want to see us score points. I dont care if thats by running or passing. By scoring points i mean putting up 40+ on the Panthers tonight.

Re: Expectations of our offense tonight
My expectations are at least 30 points and no serious injuries. Not saying we will win by that much or anything but this offense needs to come together and get it clicking and if they can't do it at home to one of (if not the) easiest team on our schedule, then when will then? Yep, this thread has just been pwned. -

Points. I don't give a **** how we get them. Just get them.

I just hope I can see some action. Seriously, clone zone is terrible. I hope I can see it clearly.

Exactly. If not tonight, then when? I can see UNI scoring some on us tonight, but there's absolutely NO excuse for us to struggle offensively against them... NONE. They will EASILY be the worst defense we will play the rest of the year. If we struggle, I'll be surprised if we win again this year.
I'm tired of us squeeking by people. Put up 40+ on them tonight. I don't see why we shouldn't?
I want to see some swagger on offense. We've looked scared on offense since week one. I want to see some confidence. Some domination. Some pride. Just something. Life. Energy. Whatever you want to call it?

Re: Expectations of our offense tonight
I think the offense needs to put up at least 24 points in the first half.
This game needs to be essentially over within the first 20 minutes or so.
Something like 34-7 should be a minimum expectation for a final score, even if ISU takes the foot off the pedal.
I'd love to see a 48-13 score, but I can't see it happening.

If we lose, the season is basically over with. So I'm not even trying to think about that right now.
I want to see something out of us that gives me hope for a bowl game still.
I remember years ago, when Stevie Hicks was a true freshman, and we beat UNI by one point I believe it was in the first game of the season. Some people said... "well a win is a win". Obviously it wasn't, because it was our only win that entire year.
How we look tonight, especially on offense, will tell us a LOT about the rest of the year IMO. I need to see a confident and dominating offense. I need to see TDs... a lot of them. I need to see points... a lot of them. I'm sorry... it's time for us to look like a Big 12 team playing against an FCS team. No excuses.

My expectation level is set at a win by no less than 21 points. Will it actually happen? I don't know but that is what I want.

Re: Expectations of our offense tonight
To renew any bowl hopes for me, 40+, probably closer to 50. But I really don't see us doing it.

Yes, because, obviously, if you have a close game with UNI you cannot have a successful season..........errr, wait a second, Iowa disagrees.

I want long TD passes to the receivers. I mean like 50+ yards. 400+ total yards. 35+ points. No mercy on these Panthers.

The offense needs to WIN the battle against their D. We need to establish the run big time. Our line needs to WIN against their d-line. Our offense simply needs to EXECUTE. We need to have some more creative play-calling that puts us in positions to take advantage of mismatches and we need to carry this on for the rest of the damn season....WIN.... because our D needs some help tackling right now our offense needs to put up points!
