How do you plan an offense aroumd that?
This is priceless. Both Chizik and Rhoads have signed two recruiting classes each - that four classes in total - and good 'ol Dan is still blamed.
    Just priceless.

It's telling that all four of our team captains - Parker, Arnaud, O'Connell, and Arob - are McCarney recruits.
It says a lot about those young men, but also what has happened in recruiting since Mac's exit.

    Re: Who's to Blame?

First of all, you can't put the blame on one guy or one unit, ie: OLine/WRs

But i can tell you that a great QB would help us out tremendously. We would be 3-1 right now if we had an amazing QB. We still would have lost to Iowa handily.

Can't put all the blame on arnaud, but whoever says that his WR aren't helping him out, or the OLine can't block is missing the point. Sure the OLine will miss a few blocks or the WRs will drop a few passes, but QB play is the worst element of our entire team.

Herman can only do so much. If he calls a play that has a guy wide open for a TD, and the QB misses him, wtf is he supposed to do? Ohh next time we should run the ball more so arnaud isn't in situations he can't do well in... like completing passes to wide open receivers lol

    Re: Who's to Blame?

There's one thing I envisioned when Herman took the job.....I expected there to be a play each game where some misdirection or whatever would lead to a WR/RB/TE sneaking out in the flat or whatever and they'd get a big gain on a simple toss and catch out in the space.

Somehow they'd get a guy unaccounted for as the play develops. About the only time I can really recall that happening was against Mizzou last year....but its was Haughton who caught that lateral across the field and went in for the TD.

I thought maybe we were getting a glimpse of it there. But really haven't seen anything since.

    Re: Who's to Blame?

I just think it shows how limited we are with playmakers on offense.

Herman didn't really inherit anyone that can make a huge play.

This offense is scoring 1 TD per game the last 3 weeks. I would say with those results, everyone is to blame.

    Re: Who's to Blame?

It's a combination of everyone pretty much. AA and Tiller can't throw accurate balls down field. We don't have any speed or deep threat whatsoever at WR. The O-Line doesn't give AA and Tiller enough time to be patient and wait for out receivers to run their deep routes.
