I really don't get the hate, he sucked here - was likely going to continue to suck here and Auburn swoops in and takes him off our hands and in the process frees up a Coach that is a better fit, same with McD. Its not like you all wanted him to stay did you? He will win some games in the SEC, the difference is if he doesn't win enough, he will get fired, just ask Tuberville..

I would root for Auburn. (but it would hurt)

I suppose this is true, but if you were being pursued for a new job and your boss found out and then asked you - hey are you committed to this company or not? Unless you already decided to the take the new job, my guess is most people would say of course I am..

I don't know about worst nightmare...at least one of them would lose. I'd hope it would be iowa, but they probably match up pretty well against Auburn. We all know that they would be outcoached. That's for sure.

Like he's going to say, "The rumors are true. I'm looking for the way out. Does anyone have my cell #? I'm available" in the middle of a season. He said what he was supposed to say.
