Gameday Experience Complaints
Why isnt the staduim filled when the game starts?
Why do some leave with 5 mins left in the 1st half?
Why do some not return until 10 mins left in the 3rd?
Why do some need to leave with 8 mins left in the game?
They way I see it we have 7 games in Ames a year. We wait 9 months for football to start and to be there to watch our team play. Then we get to see our team in person, some fans feel the need to watch only half a game. I guess I just dont understand it.

Re: Calling some fans out
The side effects of allowing stadium re-entry. Its a policy that needs to be done away with.

The way I see it, if a fan pays for a ticket, they can do whatever they want with it. There are no guidelines on how to enjoy a game. If you feel like watching half, great. This is a nonissue.

Because I bought the ticket and can do whatever I feel like.

I guess I spend a lot of money to buy tickets to watch the game and support my team.

Re: Calling some fans out
Honestly?? Wow I cant believe some of these comments!! If you want to know how important the fanbase is to college athletics look no farther than Texas A&M (12th man), Utah, Florida, and Hilton Magic??? These stadiums/coliseums make it hell for the opposition! Tailgating is AWESOME but we need to get our fans into the stadium and out of the parking lots once the game begins!! It all starts at home and sadly our fan base is more concearned with drinking beers and chilling in the parking lot than supporting our team!!

And some people pay a lot of money to watch a half, go have a beer, and come back and catch most of the second half. Its just the way you choose to use the ticket. I don't think we should be complaining at all about people who are spending their hard earned money in these economic times to support ISU athletics in whatever way they choose. They are doing way more than the people who stayed home because of the rain. (Which I think is fine also if you so choose)

The reason he was being pissy about your statement is because it's said over and over every week. At this point you can't really tell other fans what they should or shouldn't be doing. At this point your probably lucky that they buy tickets.
Another thread will shortly be started about fans standing up or sitting down.

however i will speak for those who leave early.......i do it during the night games because it is impossible to get out of Ames in under an hour. I don't like to get home around 1am when my wife had to work at 8am.
If the games started at 11am or 2:30 - i would be more than happy to stay to the very end and cheer the team off the field.
also, i bought the ticket and can leave whenever i want. you should be happy that some of us show up. Look at all the empty seats on the 50 yard line in the lower sections.
