Re: ISU/TT OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD

Here's a game stat that blew my mind:

TTU: averaged 5.2 yards per rush
ISU: averaged 5.0 yards per rush

It didn't feel that way at all watching the game especially with the long runs by ARob and Shontrelle. I guess they didn't get stuffed at the line as many times as we did.

I just noticed that we got a -27 yards on the mishandled punt... so that figures into it.

Re: ISU/TT OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD

ISU played great in all aspects except for one. Our defense got 0 sacks and Potts threw 62 passes. That's almost impossible to believe. You'd think someone who dropped back 62 times might slip and fall once.

If you switched our DL with Iowa's, ISU could be undefeated right now. Our LBs are a pleasant surprise though. I think we'll need to do more LB blitzes to have a chance against Utah.

Klein and Knott have played awesome so far this year.

I have been terrified the last two games when Klein has been down and the trainers have to come out to look at him. But both times he's been ok and come back for an INT.

FCS is replaying the game starting in a few minutes for anyone who may not have gotten it DVR'd.

I didn't even realize it until I read the AP recap of the game, but I'll bet this game had some extra meaning for CPR, considering Tuberville was his old boss at Auburn. This was a good win for the team to get for their coach.

If someone could get that game uploaded to TYT I would be forever indebted.

Anybody mention, or realize that the Cyclones are three and oh at home? I find that record very encouraging even if they played only one quality opponent at home so far. If our team stays undefeated at home, then they will go to a bowl game. Add a road win at CU, then maybe a Jan. bowl game.

Re: ISU/TT OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD

What a GREAT GREAT game. In some respects, it reminded me of the atmosphere with the Colorado tornado game a few years back. However, what was most heartening to me was our resilience. After letting TT back into the game, we didn't give up. That is a different mentality that I haven't seen in a while!

    Great game state!
    For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State all the way.
Let's go! To show them what the gang's all here for,
Go! To show them how the Cyclones cheer.
    For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State do it right!
It's time to climb up on the vict'ry wagon,
    Fight! Iowa State, Fight! Fight!

CW on Cyclone Reaction Show mentioned the last time ISU scored 50+ in a FB game was 1972 vs. KSU 55-22.

    Holy crap.

BTW, I've watched a LOT of football in the past 10 years. I'm talking an insane amount....high school, college and pro....12 hours a day on college football Saturdays and as much as I can watch of the pros on network TV. In all of my countless hours of watching football I don't think I have ever seen an on-side kickoff get returned for a TD. I've been racking my brain to see if I could ever remember seeing it happen before, but I don't think I have.

yeah, I saw that and was initially worried because I thought that maybe they got the ball but then I saw 5 running down the sidelines with the ball and just thought "holy...****..." we're going to win...
