I don't buy Utah

wouldnt you rather have them be ranked 10th? its a win win if they are. With a win it looks awesome on a national level saying you beat a top 10 team. a loss doesnt matter because they are a top 10 team.

I hope we beat them since they are a top 10 ranked team....but they are not one of the top 10 best teams in college football....yes they are well coached...and a quality bowl and top 25 team....some here seem to think it's Danny Bradley, Spencer Tillman, Keith Jackson Tony Casillas and Bosworth rolling in this week.

How do people know they aren't a legit top 10 team? They went undeated and demolished #2 Alabama 2 years ago. They demolished high flying Cal in their bowl game last year, return 8 offensive starters from that team, and also have been playing good defense so far this year. They have many players on this team that played on those last two teams. I'm surprised they didn't come out rated in the top 10 this year and would probably be in the top 5 now if they had. They may not have the big name but they have earned the right to be called a top 10-15 program the last decade. We will have to play a great game to stay with them.

Getting a little blustery after we just won a B12 game against a team with a new coaching staff in the midst of a major retooling on both sides of the ball.

Can we stop using this example? I mean, we just beat a team that beat #1 texas and #8 OSU 2 years ago , and was ranked as high as #2 as well.

Plenty of other reasons Utah is good. But lets talk this year, and not 2 years ago.

I am still waiting for someone with a pulse to tell me why Utah is good, really good in the year 2010.....I want substance not they beat bama 2 freaking years ago the same freaking year they needed 4 quarters to beat WEBER ST.

The coaching staff is the same, over half the players were on that team... but yeah, let's pretend like they've never beat anyone.

It's just as silly to pretend the last 1-3 years didn't happen as it is to pretend this team is exactly like 09 or 08.

The best part about football is that we can all jump up and down and pretend that we know what the hell we are talking about.
But what it really comes down to is 19-24 year old young men and their coaches.

With the WHoopin U guys put on Tech last night I can tell U one thing for certain.

We ALL will know ALOT more about the Utes come this time next week :)

I agree with you. I was commenting on someone else who told me I had to pretend I'd never seen Utah play the past 6-7 years and only judge them based on their few early games this year. It's my opinion they've earned the benefit of the doubt if they're unbeaten. Hoping ISU pulls off the huge upset because that's exactly what it would be.

It's not like they're some high profile media darling that never lives up to their reputation like Notre Dame or Penn st. They might not be the 10th best team, but they're good enough to blow us out in our house.
