After watching Gill coach his first 5 games and being very disappointed in what I've seen so far except for the GT game, I started taking a look at Rhoads. Here's an interesting stat. In ISU's 10 victories under Rhoads 5 of them the opponent actually had more 1st downs and total yards. But he only lost one game in 8 where ISU had more yards and 1st downs (last years KSU game). I think that is the sign of a very good coach. He has his team playing with passion and they are fun to watch.

5 (of the 10) victories the opponent had more first downs and total yards.
Wouldn't that mean that at most we only had 5 wins where we have out gained/1st downed our opponents?
Yes, that is the case. But that means Roads is doing something right and that several times he has won games when he's gone up against teams with probably more talent. That is a sign of a very good coach. Give him a chance to bring in his own talent and he's only going to get better.

CPR teams usually win the hidden yardage game when they win. Turnover ratio is a HUGE stat for us.
One of the best compliments I've seen written about CPR is that our team looks like they're having fun. I saw that on a few different Big XII boards this week.
When Chizzle left us I thought it would be good to have Gill as our coach. I'm dang glad we got CPR instead. It will be interesting to see how he does at KU and how patient the fans are with him.
