Vuvuzela against the Utes on Saturday - why NOT?!?

Listen people, we need ways to make the stadium louder and vuvuzela is probably the best way to do it. Our crowd is usually inconsistent in keeping the field energized, vuvuzela will fill the void. Can we buy a whole bunch of these for the game - at least in the student section, or is it not allowed?

Because they are annoying

Noise makers are prohibited by the Big 12.

I would take this over playing Sweet Caroline. :wink: (unless it's played when ISU is winning)

Thundersticks would be another option.

Does that mean I can get rid of the annoying guy who sits in back of me kicked out? The guy is a HORRIBLE fan. Cusses and yells at the players and coaches (like any of them is going to hear him from the upper deck, and I never hear one word of encouragement from him) and constantly complains about the officiating.

I don't think you would be able to prove that those were intended as noisemakers. I think that's a brilliant idea, but are they actually THAT noisy?

Call him out and tell him to STFU. I guarantee everyone else around you is thinking the same thing and would back you up if he confronts you.

I snuck one in last year. I think it was the Baylor game. No one ever said a word.

"Horn Guy" and his associates have been bringing them for years to do the "First Down" call (Doo Doo Do Dooooo!)

It's been taken away on occasion... though when Cy steals it back and gives it to him again, not much the police can do about that :biglaugh:
