Why on earth K-State rushed 3 D-lineman on occation is beyone me. If you let the blockers get to the second level you're toast. Have you watched Texas yet this year? After seeing Nebby play Washington and KSU, and having seen UT play UCLA, OU, and part of the Tech game, I don't see how someone would expect UT to win that game. Nebraska is very solid on defense, and the UT offense almost looks as lost as Iowa State. I don't see them scoring many points on NU this season, I think Nebraska wins it. There is a very strong chance that Nebraska meets OU in the title game unbeaten. Honestly, with OU, UT, and TT all down this year, and the North its usually sucky self, the conference really isn't that good this year. I don't think Nebraska is amazing, but they are good enough to beat the teams they have left on the calendar.

Re: So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...
I have been analyzing Nebraska all season, unfortunately all of my friends, and girlfriend are Husker fans so I am around for all their games, and unfortunately I probably know about their program nearly as much as I know about our beloved Cyclones that said here is my analysis of what we need to do to play a decent game against these Cornhuskers.
Last week for us showed a lot. It showed that we are capable of scoring and have a offense consistently score instead of having an anemic quarter of football and the next put up some tds.
Having said that this is what we need to do to slow down the Huskers.
-Contain, Contain, Contain, Taylor Martinez. This guy is like Michael Vick in the sense that your defensive linemen have to stay in their gaps. Force Martinez to stay in the pocket and pass. That is where we will get Martinez, he is a freshman and has poor passing mechanics (reference the long td pass against K- State)
-Martinez will burn you with his feet. In that case I would suggest throwing a constant spy on him all game. K-State and Washington let him kind of dictate the tempo of game and he would torch them for long runs.
-The tandem of Helu, and Burkhead is a dangerous combo as well. They can run very well against their awesome o-line, and are not backs with blazing speed. However, they are great at finding the holes and do not shy away from contact.
-One thing I am confident in that we can do against Nebraska is force turnovers! Nebraska ranks 2 in the nation in fumbles (mainly due to the fact that the Huskers dont throw the ball). Florida is #1 due to all the Markice Pouncy failed snaps, otherwise the Huskers would be #1, all against a consistantly weak Nebraska non conference schedule. You put those problems against our ball hocking defense and I think it could set us up for some favorable field position against the Blackshirts.
-The Defensive line is nothing of what it was last year. I have had many, many Husker fans say the d fense is better than last year, that the D-line is going to be better than last year, that Jared Crick is better than Mr. Suh. I have not seen anything like that yet. Their defense did not get a great amout of pressure on K-State as they should have (with the exception of a few plays). I was surprised their 56th ranked rush defense was not exploited more by the rushing attack of K-State's bruiser Daniel Thomas, and the huge, yet disciplined K-State O-line. However, the big score that Nebraska put up against K-State early forced them to abandon their gameplan and start throwing the ball (which kept us in the game with K-State). All that beind said, if we can establish the run similar to what we did against Texas Tech then we will move the ball on the defense that everyone in the nation had trouble with last year. One player to look out for is Lavonte David, he swarms to the ball and is alot similar to Jesse Smith, AJ Klein, and Jake Knott in the sense that he gets alot of tackles.
-On the other side the secondary is very good but not unbeatable. They have alot of talented CB's in Prince Amukamara, Alphonzo Dennard, and DeJon Gomes. Amukamara and Dennard are both going to be playing on Sundays, and are great coverage guys. They show no signs of slowing down and are shut down corners. I know for sure if the Blackshirts can get pressure on us we will have A LOT of trouble moving the ball. But like I said earlier in the paragraph they are not unbeatable. Coach Herman will have to make the right play calls in this game. Watching against K-State and Washington at least I saw alot of cross patterns working against their outstanding secondary.
In the end I see a game similar to last years in the sense that we are going to need a hell of a game plan in order to get past the Huskers. Oh yeah, and Nebraska actually has an offense this year.... I know the Huskers are out for blood against us as I have heard from players on their team that they have this one circled and want this one even more then the Texas game.
I believe we match up well against the Huskers and this games offers a great challenge to the team that the possiblility for a W is not out of the question.

Re: So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...
I didn't learn anything new last night. I've known all year that huskers are gonna roll us. It will be worst loss of year by far. I'm on twitter @mookjnsn ... me, not her. -
Re: So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...
We would have to play inspired football like SDSU did and fly around on defense.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...
might as well just Crown Them now!
The HUSKERS are what we thought they were. Th-they're what we thought they were. We played them LAST SEASON. ... the HUSKERS are who we thought they were! That’s why we took the damn field! Now, *hits microphone* if you want to crown them, then crown their ***! But, they are who we thought they were, and we AREN'T GOING TO LET them off the hook!
they looked good, but its a long season - the improvement from UNI to Tech was remarkable, plenty of weeks to improve before we play Nebbie, no reason to Crown them just yet.

Re: So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...
Remember a thread a few months back about how NU's defense was going to go in the tank without Suh, and the offense would completely blow.
Yeah, I'd like to call out the dude who thought they would only win 5-6 games at most and be a terrible team.

Well, I saw my preview of the upcoming Nebraska game tonight. Yea! Can't wait for the real thing - except I don't think Bo is going to stop at 68 points.

I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story.
