So, now that Tech beat Baylor
Is our win over Tech look more impressive to anyone? Baylor was receiving votes in last weeks AP poll. If we win tonight I'm sure we will be ranked next week, but if we play it close and lose, any chance we will get votes with a 3-3 record?
What you think?

If we win I still only see us getting votes.

You're kidding right?
There's not even a 2 loss team in the Top 25 right now. No chance.

If we lose, no votes. We'll be seen as the team that can't beat the big guys (which may or may not be completely true at this stage).
If we win, I could see some votes for us. Not enough for a ranking, since our profile is too low overall. If we had beaten KSU and won, we'd be ranked, and at 5-1, we'd deserve it.

What you think? We will not get votes if we lose, even if it is close.
“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads -

What you think? We MAY get one or two votes, but no way will ISU be ranked if they are fortunate enough to come out with a win tonight.
Let's take it one step at a time.

Re: So, now that Tech beat Baylor
Why would we receive votes for earning a 3rd loss exactly? In fact, why would we deserve the votes?
I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story. -

Re: So, now that Tech beat Baylor
I fully acknowledge that the idea of a 3-3 team receiving votes is ridiculous, but considering some of the events that have happened today and are continuing to happen, I wouldn't be surprised if we are ranked next week after knocking off the #10 team- if we knock of the #10 team.

Re: So, now that Tech beat Baylor
The Baylor game doesn't help us nearly as much as the K-State Neb game hurts us. If we beat Utah we may get a couple votes, nothing more.

Re: So, now that Tech beat Baylor
I don't care about votes, I'll just be ecstatic that we beat the 10th ranked team and happy that we're one game closer to bowl eligibility.

What you think? A 3-3 team getting votes? You're kidding, right?
