Sagarin Ranking
Since the first BCS poll comes out next week, I thought I'd post this. We are ranked #53 by Sagarin. USATODAY.com
The big twelve is:
6 Nebraska
12 Oklahoma
16 Missouri
32 Oklahoma State
36 Texas A&M
39 Texas
41 Colorado
42 Kansas State
43 Baylor
51 Texas Tech
53 Iowa State
121 Kansas
So we're 11th, not sure why Colorado and Mizzu rank so high.
So other notables:*UNI at 122, NIU is 67, and Iowa at 21.
I have to say I can't really complain at this ranking other than being below Texas Tech. It indicates we aren't a great BCS team, but are still much better than most non-BCS teams. Hopefully after a few more years Rhoads can pull us into the top 25.

The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come. -
Re: Sagarin Ranking
I check this most every week, last week Mizzou had something like the 120th toughest schedule. I expect them to slip assuming their schedule will get tougher.

Re: Sagarin Ranking
So, Ronny, you say we have a chance against KU. Let's roll up the score.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

So we're 11th, not sure why Colorado and Mizzu rank so high. Colorado's win over Georgia (currently 57th) is probably buoying the Buffs, and Missouri's win over Illinois (31st) is helping the Tigers.
Sagarin is still very malleable at this point in the season. Plus, if you look at the Predictor column (which Sagarin claims is the most accurate predictor of future games), Colorado drops to 60 (Missouri actually climbs to 14th). And ISU is 74th (that's what two blowout losses to the best two teams on the schedule will do).

Re: Sagarin Ranking
Halfway through the season, we've proved we don't belong on the field with top 20 teams.
Everyone else, we're winning or competitive with.

Everyone else, we're winning or competitive with. No different than last year and the Clones had a winning season and a bowl win. The same can be accomplished this season.
"I'm proud to lead this program and this team in whatever we do. Whether it's a community service project, or through practice or winning a bowl game, but you don't do that without the kids believing and being all in, and going out there and accomplishing all [of] the goals and expectations that we set." - Coach Paul Rhoads -
Re: Sagarin Ranking
That also shows that Delaware (#35) James Madison (#40) and Montana State (#50) are all better than us. Don't you just love computer polls! And yes, I know those teams won't be there at the end of the season. It just shows how these polls still don't show much (at least at this point in the season).
